Description
Charming Early 20th Century Pine Dresser – Full of Character & Antique Appeal
A wonderful example of early 20th-century craftsmanship, this two-part pine dresser brings timeless character and decorative charm. The upper section is wall-mounted in an overmantel style, featuring a beautifully shell-carved gable above an outswept cornice, framing a rectangular bevelled mirror. The mirror is flanked by barley twist pilasters and side shelves resting on carved brackets — ideal for displaying treasured items.
The lower section houses a pair of fluted drawers with locks (no key), set above panelled doors adorned with an embossed central motif of a bow, fruit, and foliage, opening to a generous storage compartment with a cut-out at the backboard, perfect for cable access or ventilation. The doors are framed by matching barley twist pilasters and the entire base rests gracefully on flattened bun feet.
This dresser carries the story of time, wear to the wood surface, extensive chips, scuffs, and scratches, stains to the countertop, and losses to the back panel. The wood is dry and would benefit from restoration or nourishing.
Sold as is – a perfect candidate for restoration or as a rustic decorative feature. Ask us to assist with that. T’s and C’s apply.
Ideal for collectors or enthusiasts of vintage furniture with a story, this dresser is full of heritage charm and ready for its next chapter.
